最近在网上看到一篇为章，大致内容是兰州发生多个服装店销售印有日本军旗的披巾，买者众多并以此为时髦。网民对此口诛笔伐。而我看到这个消息的时候，感觉是深深的沉重和悲哀。制造者，销售者都是见利忘义者，购买并以此为美者更是肤浅无比，居然能为这种畸形的“美”而忘记民族的历史。于是又想到几年前有位大红大紫的女明星也是身穿日本军旗妖娆地走在T形台上，如果说兰州那些所谓“爱美者”文化层次不够，那么这位明星还是受过高等教育的“社会精英”。虽然有关部门对兰州披巾进行了严厉查处，但我担忧几年，几十年后还会不会发生同样性质的事情。我想我的担心并非忌人忧天，因为曾经有人对某校的学生进行了一项调查，他向学生展示日本军旗图片并问其名称，结果是居然大部分都回答不上来，有的只能模模糊糊说出是膏药旗，有的学生甚至说是“青天白日旗”。某报上也曾登过一则消息，说某校组织学生观看爱国影片，但有的学生看到日本军残杀中国的场面时居然笑了起来并说好玩。我每当看到类似的事情，我的心就开始流血，我痛苦地反思着，我们的历史教育起到了什么作用呢？它是强调学生记住历史史实，还是强调一种民族精神？
最基本的，爱国心和民族精神是我们每个学生都得具备的，结果是我们没有把这些目标内化为学生一种追求，而是变成应付考试的一种负担，所以想想我们的教育在这方面做过了多少实质的工作呢？象上面我所说的事情，我们教育得承担多少责任呢？
我曾经在底层教学一线工作过，我每天都能听到要求我们搞素质教育，素质教育。教师也经常谈论素质教育到底是什么，但结果都是莫衷一是。更令人担忧的是，很少有人提及在素质教育的目标中还包含爱国主义和民族精神的内容，那就更别提两者被放到重要的地位了。无论如何，素质教育都绝不能流于空洞的口号，也不能仅仅成为教师评课的一条标准。我们的学生需要什么样的素质？怎样让他们具有祖国期盼的素质和素质？我想这肯定不是个小问题，而且是个需要永恒探讨的话题。
素质教育的目标应该是个具有一定复杂性的动态系统。教师要对学生进行素质教育，他就必须先对素质教育目标有一个完整的的理解。首要的是，爱国主义，民族精神作为一个中国人是基本的，必备的，我们是否得思考如何让学生在他的学习过程中形成值入其心灵的情操。如果我们的教育连这点都不能成功完成的话，那这样的教育绝对是失败的。可我担心的是我们教育界的各位是不是实际上把这个放到了最重要的地位？
我个人强调的是：爱国主义教育绝不能看成只有上课时才能玩的门道，必须显性施加地或潜移默化地实施于学生的全部生活；它绝不能拘泥于刻板的形式，生活中每个事件都是进行爱国主义教育的机会点；民族精神的形成不能仅仅看成是教育机构的事情，全社会都得为学生思想负责，因为教育本身就是一种社会现象，不能孤立进行；爱国主义教育也不能看成是仅仅学生时代才需要做的事，而是贯穿于一个生命的始终；它绝不能是空洞的说教，而是无声融入教师和学生生活的全部;它不是教师对学生单向的影响，更多的是鼓励学生自我思考、自我反醒；要想叫我们的学生爱国，教师首先就要爱国！
我认为我们以往的教育强调了显性知识的掌握，在隐性知识方面可能有所欠缺。可如何传授隐性知识，这是一个非常困难的事，我想我们的教育也在朝着这个方向改革。除此之外，我认为你说的只是很少的一部分人，大多数人是具有民族精神的，是有爱国精神的，你说是吗？

我认为，归根到底在于传统的需要完善的教育方式。传统教育是注重学生认知的发展，或者说最初传统的灌输教育的确是一种纯粹的知识的学习，忽略了情感和技能方面的教育，正如上文所言，在历史教育上，我们的教育是缺乏了情感方面的培养的。爱国主义不仅仅是政府部门的专项的爱国活动去培养的，我们的教育中，无论是历史学科，还是其它学科的教育都得从最根本的思想道德教育入手，将学生的价值观人生观引导到最恰当的方向才是我们教育的使命。
在当今社会，越来越多的青少年犯罪案例履见不鲜。是他们受教育的程度不够吗，是他们的知识太乏吗。我想根本问题还是在于少年时期的思想道德教育没有到位的。所以我们要实行素质教育。我们要强调人文教育，强调情感的教育。素质教育并不是空洞的。我想任何一个新生的事物都有它产生适应发展的过程。在它努力去适应原有的传统教育的过程中肯定要经受挫折，例如 我们该如何去实践它，它与传统的教育的地位将如何去处理，如何将素质教育与传统教育更好的去结合，如何让老师和学生去转变思想去接受新的教育理念。这些都需要过程。所以重担就在年轻人身上，不要埋怨，只要我们去努力，素质教育终会成为教育的主流方向，我们的学生也将为我们的民族而自豪的。相信我们民族的灵魂，相信我们民族的创造能力。
教育不是一个人的事，不能仅仅把学生素质教育的责任全归在教师身上，家庭的教育，社会的教育同样对学生的身心发展有潜移默化的影响。教育是整个社会的事，我认为。
